Email #9: Your Blog Meta Tag

Dear <firstname> ,

Now although we're talking about blogs
here, no one will visit a blog unless it has
been properly optimized. So before we
cover content, we'll go into optimizing your
title and Meta tags.

What do you want your title and description
to accomplish? Basically what you'll want to
do is this:

-Put your blog at the top of search results.
-Quickly and accurately tell users what your
blog is about.
-Convey a positive image of your business.

This is a good time to think about what makes
your blog unique. You can't possibly write a
search listing if you aren't sure what your blog
is all about.

Now, choose the one key idea that you want every
user to know before they even arrive at your website.
Also, choose one key phrase that describes your website.

Write the description (Meta tag) before the title.
There's a reason for this, it's to ensure I have a clear idea
of what I want to emphasize about my site.

Write one or two sentences that describes what your
blog is all about. Although you can include more than
one aspect of your blog, the primary impression that a
reader gets should be the main idea that you wrote.

You should use your keyword or phrase two to three
times in your description, and try to keep it as short
as you can.

Next, we'll go into content.

To your blogging profits,

Your Name
